CEO ABICOR GROUP

Prof Dr Emil Schubert, Chief Executive Officer of the ABICOR GROUP

Prof Dr Emil Schubert, born in 1963, holds a Master of Material Science and Technology and a Doctorate in Laser Material Processing from the University of Erlangen.

He began his career in 1989 as a research assistant at the Institute for Materials Science and Technology of Metals at the University of Erlangen. In 1991, he became Head of the “New Processes and Materials” Department at the Maxhütte steelworks. He subsequently moved to the Bremen Institute for Applied Beam Technology (BIAS) in Bremen as Head of the Department for Laser Material Processing.

In 1999 he joined ABICOR BINZEL as Head of Research and Development and was appointed Managing Director of the company as well as Technical Managing Director of the holding company, IBG Industrie Beteiligungs-Gesellschaft mbH in Cologne, in 2008. Since February 2024 he is CEO of the new ABICOR GROUP.

Mandates: Prof Schubert has been President of the European Welding Association (EWA) since 2021 and heads the “Health and Safety Aspects of Welding” Committee of the German Welding Society (DVS). He also lectures on “Joining Technology” at the University of Bremen.

CSO ABICOR GROUP

Andreas Böckling, Chief Sales Officer Regions and Service of the ABICOR GROUP

Andreas Böckling, born in 1967, studied Business Administration at Justus Liebig University (JLU) Giessen and the University of Wisconsin, USA.

In 1993, he began his career as an employee in the controlling department at ABICOR BINZEL. He became Head of the Department the following year. In 2000, he was appointed Head of Group Controlling at the holding company, Industrie-Beteiligungs-Gesellschaft mbh in Cologne.

From 2005 to 2024 he was Managing Director of the Thermacut Group. Since February 2024 he is CSO of the new ABICOR GROUP.

COO ABICOR GROUP

Philip Röhrig, Chief Operating Officer of the ABICOR GROUP

Philip Röhrig, born in 1986, holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Baden-Württemberg Cooperative State University. After a semester abroad at the University of Bolton, UK, he studied »Logistics and Supply Chain Management« at RWTH Aachen University, graduating with a Master of Science degree.

Philip Röhrig began his career in 2007 at SCHUMAG Aktiengesellschaft in Aachen, where he quickly took on various leadership positions after completing his dual course of study. In 2014, he moved to HOPPE AG in Stadtallendorf as Head of Production Logistics.

In 2018, he took over the Global Supply Chain Management (SCM) at ABICOR BINZEL. He was appointed Managing Director Production & SCM in 2022. Since February 2024 he is COO of the new ABICOR GROUP.

Mandates: Philip Röhrig represents the company on the Member’s Council of Hessenmetall, district Mittelhessen

CTO ABICOR GROUP

Dr Sascha Rose, Chief Technology Officer of the ABICOR GROUP

Dr.-Ing Sascha Rose, born in 1983, studied mechanical engineering at the Technical University of Dresden and the Universidad de Talca. In 2013, he earned his PhD from Technical University of Dresden with summa cum laude. He also holds the title of International Welding Engineer and a Master of Business Administration (MBA).

Dr. Rose began his professional career in 2008 as a research associate at TU Dresden, where he later led a research group focused on arc welding processes. In 2016, he joined ABICOR BINZEL as Executive Assistant for Innovation.

From 2017 to 2024, he headed the Research and Development department. Since February 2024, he is CTO of the new ABICOR GROUP.

Mandates: Dr. Rose represents the company in various national and international committees, including the German Welding Society (DVS), the German Commission for Electrical, Electronic & Information Technologies (DKE), the European Welding Association (EWA), and the German Electrical and Digital Industry Association (ZVEI).

Since 2022, he has served as an expert reviewer for the field of “Joining Technology and Additive Manufacturing”.

In 2024, he was appointed Chair of the DVS Technical Committee for “Occupational Safety and Environmental Protection”.

 

CFO ABICOR GROUP

Danny Maxeiner, Chief Financial Officer of the ABICOR GROUP

Danny Maxeiner, born in 1982, holds a degree in Bachelor of Business Administration specialising in SME Management from the Technical University of Central Hesse (THM).

Danny Maxeiner began his dual course of study and thus his first professional steps in the finance and human resources department at ABICOR BINZEL. After holding several positions as a specialist and later as Manager in the controlling department, he was appointed Head of Group Controlling in 2013.

In 2018, he also took over as Head of Group Controlling at Industrie-Beteiligungs-Gesellschaft mbH (holding company) in Cologne. Since February 2024 he is CFO of the new ABICOR GROUP.
